We would like to encourage our customers to send files to us electronically. Not only does it save time, but it saves on shipping expenses.

Small files can be e-mailed to prepress@dcgraphicsinc.com. If the files are larger than 5mbs we have an ftp site that can handle them with relative ease. Call us to talk about what will work best for you. If you're not sure how to go about sending files electronically, but would like to, we'll come over and show you how.

With a file transfer protocol system (ftp) you can upload and download large file formats.

Of course this will not be a set-it and forget-it type of service. There still has to be a level of communication involved, just like when you send us files via e-mail. We will need directions for the proper care to be given for each individual job. So, unfortunately for you, you still have to talk with our production department. Yes, we know, and we're sorry too. So, to get a user id and password to access the site, please contact the production dept. with the secret phrase "You're a pretty girl", and they will be happy to give you one. There will be no tests or physicals involved. Oh, and if you act now, we'll give you free unlimited space and size of file transfer. That's right, free unlimited space and size of file transfer. Can you believe it? Just make sure for file integrity that you compress anything that you send, and we will do the same in return.

One very important thing to remember: we MUST still get a hard copy to make sure nothing is wrong with the file. So, be sure to follow up all file transfers with a fax. Besides, a hard copy is the only way your customer service rep knows what your job should look like.
